Cincinnati, January 15, 2020. The Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati (IFFC) - 'Engage Diversity Through Film" announces the its 4th Annual Film Festival lineup of narrative and documentary features and short films, which will take place April 23rd-26th, 2020. IFFC is the only Indian Film festival in Ohio and is organized by the India Cincinnati Sister City. The festival is widely recognized as the premiere showcase for prestigious and groundbreaking Indian, as well as International cinema.  Many of the films were made in the US.

Cincinnati plays host to an incredible world-class cinema in the heart of its vibrant and developing downtown district. Ratee Apana, Executive Director of IFFC states, “We are thrilled at the opportunity to share these films with the Cincinnati audience. These films cover a range of human experiences and social issues which will resonate with all communities.”

The festival will have a kick off for friends of the festival on March 1 at the Mariemont theatre. This is followed by a soft opening with a contemporary classic film  on 23rd April, at 6PM. Opening film nite, is 24th April  with cocktails at 6PM followed by the film at 7PM.

Highlights from this year’s lineup include premiers of several international award-winning films. Ratee adds, “Masterful performances cover: gender values, bullying, sibling relationships, love,  child abuse, LGBTQ, immigration and displacement, racism, aging, and human rights and challenged abilities. We will showcase several films produced and/or directed by women. Many of the directors and producers of our films will be attending the opening film and are available to speak to the press.  We invite you to come, and learn about the tremendous collection of films and the film makers who made them. Few of the films are in English and every one of them is subtitled."

Films will be revealed April 1. Created by the South Asian  migration around the world, these films tell multi-generational stories across various cultures, genders, countries and religions. All films are subtitled in English and many are in English and multiple languages.

We invite you to experience ten fun filled days of independent cinema from the Indian and South Asian diaspora across the globe!
